The company has given ₹37 crore to NECE, a step-down subsidiary, as an advance for land parcels. The auditor says this interest-free advance has been outstanding for more than fifteen years and that it cannot ascertain the present status of its utilisation. The company says the advance is good and recoverable.
The results also carry the auditor's concern about NHDL. Its toll operations ended with effect from 7 Sep 2024 at the end of the concession term. The auditor reports a material uncertainty about NHDL's ability to continue as a going concern after the toll contract was not renewed, and says it cannot ascertain whether an impairment provision is needed on the company's ₹26.07 crore equity investment in NHDL.
Inference
The filing does not say what provision would be needed if the arbitration claims were awarded, or when the tribunal is expected to rule.
