Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited has told the exchanges that it released its unaudited results for the quarter and half year ended 30 Sep 2026 on 14 Oct 2026. Consolidated net profit for the September quarter was ₹820.94 crore, against ₹374.89 crore a year earlier, and revenue from operations rose 24% to ₹9,300.35 crore from ₹7,511.80 crore.

Revenue from operations was 21% above the ₹7,697.72 crore of the June 2026 quarter, and net profit was more than twice the ₹376.71 crore of that quarter. Total income was ₹9,553.01 crore. Profit before tax was ₹1,089.07 crore, against ₹499.23 crore, and finance costs fell to ₹124.77 crore from ₹195.21 crore. The tax expense was ₹268.13 crore, against ₹124.34 crore. Basic and diluted earnings per share were ₹2.36, against ₹1.08.

By segment, power revenue was ₹6,637.90 crore, against ₹5,675.64 crore a year earlier, and industry revenue was ₹2,662.45 crore, against ₹1,836.16 crore. Segment results before tax and finance cost were ₹858.37 crore for power, against ₹593.76 crore, and ₹518.71 crore for industry, against ₹280.04 crore.

For the half year, revenue from operations was ₹16,998.07 crore against ₹12,998.71 crore a year earlier. Net profit was ₹1,197.65 crore, against a loss of ₹80.61 crore in the same period last year.

    Inference

Both segments contributed to the growth. Industry revenue rose by about 45% and power revenue by about 17%, and the profit of each segment before tax and finance cost was higher than a year earlier.

The half-year result moved from a loss to a profit, mostly because the September quarter was far stronger than the year-earlier quarter. Lower finance costs also helped, according to the statement. The filing does not give an outlook, and the results notes carry any further detail.
