Profit grew faster than income in the quarter. Consolidated net profit rose 40.5% year on year to ₹31.91 crore, while total income rose 7.4%. Profit before tax rose 40.6%, so the tax line moved in step with pre-tax profit: tax expense rose 41.0% to ₹10.93 crore, which is 25.5% of profit before tax, against ₹7.76 crore a year earlier.
Other income is small against the rest of the statement. At ₹1.75 crore it is 0.5% of total income and 4.1% of profit before tax, and it fell 9.6% from ₹1.94 crore. Revenue from operations, at ₹369.80 crore, carries the growth, rising 7.5% year on year.
Finance costs more than doubled in relative terms, to ₹3.64 crore from ₹1.48 crore, a rise of 146.1%. They are 1.0% of total income. The filing gives no reason for the increase.
Depreciation rose 11.1% to ₹24.51 crore. Against the quarter before, net profit rose 149.3% from ₹12.80 crore, and basic EPS went from ₹1.07 to ₹2.67.

Inference
The board approved both sets of results on 29 Oct 2026, and Chaturvedi & Shah LLP issued a limited review report on each, stating that nothing had come to its attention that causes it to believe the results contain a material misstatement.
The notes record an allotment of 5,500 equity shares under the Borosil Limited Employee Stock Option Scheme, 2020 in the half year, with the paid-up share capital rising by ₹0.06 lakh. The standalone cash flow statement shows a loan given to a subsidiary of ₹8.41 crore in the half year, and the consolidated statement shows a government grant of ₹1.27 crore, whose nature the filing does not describe. The filing does not give the reason for the rise in finance costs, the impact of the Labour Codes on the current quarter, or whether any dividend has been declared.
