Central Bank of India has told the exchanges on 7 Oct 2026 that CARE Ratings has reaffirmed its CARE A1+ rating on a certificate of deposit programme of ₹20,000 crore. The date of the rating action and its verification is 7 Oct 2026.

CARE’s rationale says the reaffirmation factors in improved capitalisation supported by stronger internal accruals and equity capital raised in recent years, including an equity infusion of about ₹21,835 crore between FY16 and FY23.

    Inference

The rating is the highest short-term rating and is unchanged. CARE ties it to the bank’s improved capital position, which it links partly to equity raised over several years.
