CRISIL upgrades Kalpataru Projects International’s long-term rating to AA+/Stable

Kalpataru Projects International Limited has told the exchanges that CRISIL Ratings Limited, in a press release dated 15 Oct 2026 that the company received at about 5:26 PM IST that day, has upgraded the long-term rating on its bank facilities to CRISIL AA+/Stable from CRISIL AA/Stable. The company filed the disclosure on 16 Oct 2026 under Regulation 30 of the SEBI listing rules.
The same upgrade applies to the company’s ₹150 crore of non-convertible debentures, which are now rated CRISIL AA+/Stable. The short-term rating on the bank facilities was reaffirmed at CRISIL A1+, as was the A1+ rating on ₹250 crore of commercial paper.
CRISIL has also withdrawn the CRISIL AA/Stable rating on the non-convertible debentures issued under ISIN INE220B08100, because the company has fully repaid them. The filing includes the rating details for its debentures under Regulation 55 of the listing rules.
Inference
A credit rating is an agency’s opinion of how well a company can meet its debt obligations, and an upgrade from AA to AA+ means CRISIL now sees the company’s debt as stronger credit than before. A stable outlook means the agency does not currently expect the rating to change.
The short-term ratings were left unchanged. The filing does not give the agency’s reasons for the upgrade, which are in CRISIL’s press release rather than in the company’s letter.
