The order covers the period from July 2017 to March 2022 for Deltin Denzong Casino, and follows earlier notices and a decision of the Supreme Court on the matter.
The authority determined a differential GST demand of ₹1,64,45,616 on the valuation of actionable claims, on the basis of the Supreme Court's order and directions, and a differential demand of ₹1,43,21,637 on casino entry packages, treated as mixed supply. Together the two come to about ₹3.08 crore. The order also levies interest under Section 50 and a penalty under Section 74 equal to each demand.
The filing is made under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Regulations. It does not state the company's view or whether it will appeal.
Inference
The order puts a number on a long-running GST dispute: about ₹3.08 crore of tax, an equal penalty and interest. The total is a few crore for a company of this size.
The filing does not say whether the company will challenge the order or how it has provided for the amount. Shareholders may want to follow any appeal and the notes to the company's accounts.
