Dixon Technologies signs a joint venture agreement with Gemtek to make optical transceivers in India
- Agreement
- Electronics Manufacturing
Dixon Technologies (India) Limited has told the exchanges on 7 Oct 2026 that it, Gemtek Technology Co., Ltd. and Dixon Electroconnect Private Limited have executed a joint venture agreement. It follows a binding term sheet signed on 9 Jun 2026. Dixon Electroconnect, now a wholly owned subsidiary, will make and supply optical transceivers (SFP and BOSA) and other telecom products as the parties may agree, in India.
On completion, subject to customary conditions, Dixon will hold 60% and Gemtek 40% of the joint venture company, through subscription to fresh equity shares. Neither Dixon nor Gemtek will hold a stake in the other, and the business is domestic.
Inference
The venture is not yet complete, because customary conditions precedent remain. The filing does not give the investment amount or the production plan.
