Profit grew faster than income this quarter. Consolidated net profit rose 66.0% YoY while total income rose 32.7%, and tax expense rose 119.9% to ₹17.64 crore, so the profit before tax rise of 75.7% was partly absorbed by tax.

Finance costs rose 86.6% YoY to ₹23.14 crore, which is 1.1% of total income. The filing says the consolidated figures include six acquired entities from their share transfer dates and are not comparable with the corresponding comparative period, so the year-on-year comparison includes businesses not in the year-earlier quarter.

Other income is a small part of the consolidated result: ₹3.99 crore, or 5.1% of profit before tax of ₹78.39 crore. Revenue from operations, at ₹2,087.08 crore, makes up almost all of total income.

Consolidated net profit attributable to owners was ₹45.54 crore, against ₹60.74 crore for the period before minority interests, a gap of ₹15.20 crore that the filing attributes to non-controlling interests.

Standalone net profit rose 236.1% YoY to ₹19.14 crore, faster than standalone total income, which rose 27.2%. Revenue from operations grew 37.7% to ₹114.57 crore, while other income fell 8.8% to ₹22.08 crore.

Standalone finance costs were ₹0.61 crore, 14.1% below the year-earlier quarter and 0.4% of total income. Standalone other income of ₹22.08 crore equals 90.8% of standalone profit before tax of ₹24.32 crore, so other income is a large share of the standalone pre-tax profit.

The standalone exceptional items are shown as nil for the quarter, and tax expense of ₹5.18 crore is 21.3% of profit before tax.

    Inference

The filing says the board approved the results on 4 Nov 2026 and that the auditors issued unmodified conclusions on both sets of results. The company operates in one business segment, trading of pharmaceutical and surgical products.

The company granted 49,712 employee stock options under the Entero Employee Stock Option Plan 2023 at an exercise price of INR 804 per option, and allotted 12,135 equity shares on exercise of earlier options. After the quarter, it subscribed to 15,00,000 Optionally Convertible Debentures of Chhabra Healthcare Solution Private Limited at ₹120 each.

The filing does not state the reason for the sharp rise in consolidated revenue and finance costs, the reason for the fall in standalone other income, the effect of the Sai Pharma slump sale on future results, or the price and financial effect of the Chhabra OCD subscription.
