IRCON International Limited has told the exchanges that it has been awarded an EPC contract by East Central Railway (Construction Organisation), Patna, through a letter of acceptance. The disclosure was made on 12 Oct 2026 under Regulation 30 of the SEBI listing rules.

The work covers the supply of ballast and permanent way materials, including laying and linking of track, for 32.5-tonne axle load in the Gomoh–Koderma section and the Gaya–Son Nagar section of East Central Railway, together with the supply of various permanent way materials at Gaya. It is for the construction of the third and fourth lines of the Son Nagar–Andal project. The order is a domestic one, and the value is ₹862,45,93,012.51 (about ₹862.46 crore), to be executed in 365 days.

The filing says no promoter or promoter group company has an interest in the customer and that the order is not a related party transaction.

    Inference

The order value of about ₹862 crore is to be executed within a year, so the revenue from it would be recognised over a short period. The filing does not say how the order compares with the company’s order book or annual revenue.

The scope is supply and track laying for sections of the project, not the whole of it. The letter of acceptance is a step before the formal agreement.
