Net profit grew faster than total income on a quarter-on-quarter basis but slower year on year. Consolidated net profit rose 35.6% YoY against 48.8% growth in total income, while profit before tax was flat at ₹62.28 crore against ₹62.36 crore a year earlier.

Other income is a large part of the change. At ₹38.79 crore it is 62.3% of profit before tax, against ₹11.07 crore a year earlier. Finance costs of ₹12.14 crore are 1.3% of total income, up 19.7% YoY.

The sugar segment reported revenue of ₹434.96 crore this quarter. The notes say the subsidiary's sugar business is seasonal, with the season normally running January to May in Vietnam, so quarterly figures may not be comparable. The notes do not explain the split.

    Inference

The filing says the Board approved the results on 6 Nov 2026 and that the statutory auditors, Brahmayya & Co., issued limited review reports with no modification of their conclusion.

Chief Financial Officer and Key Managerial Personnel Anis Tyebali Hyderi resigned for personal reasons, effective from close of business on 10 Jan 2027. The filing does not name a successor, and the reason for the standalone loss is not explained.

Dividends paid in the half year were ₹13.08 crore, against ₹3.23 crore a year earlier. The filing does not state a dividend declaration or record date for the current period.
