Laurus Labs Limited has told the exchanges that it has invested ₹107.8 crore (₹1,078,000,000) in KRKA Pharma Private Limited, a joint venture between KRKA d.d., Novo mesto, Slovenia, and Laurus Labs. The company bought 10,78,00,000 equity shares of KRKA Pharma with a face value of ₹10 each, at face value, through a rights issue.

The disclosure was made on 14 Oct 2026 and continues the company’s intimation of 30 Apr 2026 about the further investment. After the investment, Laurus Labs holds 26,21,50,000 equity shares of KRKA Pharma, and its percentage holding stays at 49%.

    Inference

Because the shares were bought through a rights issue and the holding stayed at 49%, the investment adds to the joint venture’s capital without changing the ownership split between the two partners.

The filing does not say what the money will be used for. The company’s earlier intimation of 30 Apr 2026 is where the plan was first described.
