Minda Corporation Limited has told the exchanges that it has signed a share subscription agreement with Sunsure Energy Private Limited and Sunsure Solarpark Sixteen Private Limited to acquire 26% of the equity of Sunsure Solarpark Sixteen Private Limited. The disclosure was made on 12 Oct 2026 under Regulation 30 of the SEBI listing rules.
The company will invest up to ₹57.75 lakh in cash. The filing says the aim is to reduce the company’s power cost by moving towards solar and wind energy, which it calls cost effective and environment friendly, and that completion is expected in about six months with no government approval needed. Sunsure Solarpark Sixteen sets up ground-mounted, grid-connected solar power generating facilities. Its turnover as of 31 Mar 2026 was ₹963.75 lakh, and its profit after tax was a loss of ₹8.88 lakh.
The transaction is not a related party transaction, and neither the promoter nor the promoter group nor group companies have an interest in the entity.
Inference
The investment is small, at about ₹58 lakh, and is linked in the filing to the company’s own electricity costs. The target made a small loss in its latest year.
The filing gives no estimate of the power the company expects to receive from the plant or of the saving it expects.
