Navkar Corporation Limited has told the exchanges that it has received a letter of acceptance from the office of the Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Salem, Southern Railway, Tamil Nadu, for the contract to construct and operate a Gati Shakti Multi-Modal Cargo Terminal entirely on railway land at Kulipalaiyam station, in the Uttukuli to Tiruppur section. The company received the letter at about 3:00 PM on 13 Oct 2026 and made the disclosure on 14 Oct 2026.
The terms will follow the agreement for a Gati Shakti Multi-Modal Cargo Terminal to be signed with Southern Railway, Salem Division. The company must complete construction within 18 months of the approval of construction or the handing over of the railway land, whichever is later, and the land will be licensed for 35 years. The value is stated as about ₹48 crore, which the filing says may vary with the terms of the agreement.
Inference
A letter of acceptance is a step before the agreement is signed, and the filing says the final terms will be those of the agreement. The figure of about ₹48 crore is an approximate size and may change.
The 35-year licence on railway land means the terminal’s earnings would come over a long period, which the filing does not quantify. It also does not say when construction will start.
