Nestlé India Limited has reported results for the second quarter of FY2026-27. Total sales were ₹6,782.2 crore, up 20.5% from the same quarter a year earlier, with domestic sales up 20.4%. Profit after tax was ₹1,026.8 crore, up 36.3%, and earnings per share were ₹5.32. The EBITDA margin was 23.8%.

Revenue from operations was ₹6,788.34 crore against ₹5,643.61 crore a year earlier and ₹6,378.18 crore in the June 2026 quarter, and profit before tax was ₹1,399.36 crore against ₹1,028.52 crore a year earlier. The company says growth was driven by double-digit volume growth, while its advertising and marketing spending rose 46%.

Chairman and Managing Director Manish Tiwary said food inflation is a reality and that the company is focused on innovation, brand investment and productivity to manage commodity cost pressures. The press release describes strong growth across confectionery, beverages, prepared dishes, milk products, pet food and e-commerce, including quick commerce.

The company also says it signed a share subscription agreement on 27 Aug 2026 to take a 26% stake in Radiance KA Sunshine Seven Private Limited by subscribing to 76,12,500 equity shares of ₹10 each. Radiance is setting up a captive renewable power plant for one of Nestlé India's manufacturing facilities. The company reports in ₹ million, and figures here are converted to ₹ crore.

    Inference

Sales and profit both grew faster than a year ago, and profit grew faster than sales, which the company links to efficiency gains alongside higher brand spending. The cost of materials as a share of sales fell, according to the filing, from 45.5% to 43.1%.

The company itself points to food inflation and commodity costs as pressure points. Shareholders may want to watch how margins are maintained if input costs rise, and whether volume growth stays in double digits, since the filing does not give guidance for later quarters.
