Consolidated net profit is far above profit before tax less tax, and the gap is large. The statement shows profit before tax from continuing operations of ₹60.37 crore and tax of ₹15.41 crore, yet net profit of ₹208.14 crore includes ₹163.17 crore from discontinued operations, which is the insurance business sold to QBE. Net profit attributable to owners is ₹205.70 crore after non-controlling interest.

Profit before tax rose 228.3% YoY from a low base of ₹18.39 crore, while total income rose 8.0%. Finance costs fell to ₹31.19 crore from ₹44.10 crore, which is 1.7% of total income this quarter. Other income of ₹9.44 crore, against ₹10.37 crore a year earlier, is 15.6% of profit before tax.

The quarter includes a ₹32.97 crore exceptional gain from sale of property in the RMC Division, and the Nacharam, Hyderabad property was sold in the quarter ended 30 Jun 2026 for ₹34.00 crore. Consolidated net profit rose 84.7% QoQ while total income rose 1.1%, but most of the net profit is the discontinued insurance gain, so the two lines should be read separately.

Consolidated segment revenue for the quarter was ₹773.83 crore for cement, ₹690.19 crore for HRJ and ₹410.09 crore for RMC. The company says the group's debt fell to ₹657.04 crore at 30 Sep 2026 from ₹1,183.23 crore at 30 Jun 2026, and its debt service coverage ratio was 2.93 times.

Standalone net profit of ₹40.15 crore rose 124.8% YoY, faster than total income, which rose 7.3%. Profit before tax rose 63.7% to ₹53.58 crore, and the exceptional gain of ₹32.97 crore from sale of RMC property is part of that figure.

Other income fell 35.1% YoY to ₹12.48 crore and is 23.3% of profit before tax. Tax of ₹13.53 crore is 25.3% of profit before tax. Finance costs fell 31.6% to ₹27.55 crore, which is 1.5% of total income.

Against the prior quarter, standalone net profit fell 57.3% while total income rose 1.0%. The filing does not explain that decline. Standalone outstanding debt fell to ₹488.64 crore from ₹1,047.60 crore at 30 Jun 2026, and standalone other equity is ₹1,182.18 crore.

    Inference

The Board approved the results on 6 Nov 2026 and statutory auditors carried out a limited review with an unmodified conclusion. The consolidated figures include the sale of Raheja QBE General Insurance Company Limited, which ceased to be a subsidiary w.e.f. 1 Jul 2026 after the sale of the entire stake to QBE Asia Pacific Holdings Pty Limited for ₹325.87 crore.

The filing does not state the use of the sale proceeds, whether a dividend will be declared, or the reason for the fall in standalone net profit against the prior quarter.
