Shalby’s Jabalpur hospital registration is suspended pending fire and electrical safety reports

Shalby Limited has told the exchanges that the Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO), Jabalpur, has ordered the suspension of the registration of Shalby Hospital, Jabalpur, pending reassessment and the submission of the prescribed fire safety and electrical safety inspection reports. The order is dated 12 Oct 2026, and the company received it on 13 Oct 2026. The company made the disclosure on 14 Oct 2026 under Regulation 30 of the SEBI listing rules.

The company says a minor fire occurred on one floor of the Jabalpur hospital on 11 Oct 2026, in a patient’s room, reportedly after a mobile phone blast. It was brought under control with the help of the hospital’s fire response team and the local administration. All patients were moved safely to other hospitals or floors as a precaution, and no injuries or casualties were reported. The company says all required fire licences and safety measures were in place at the time.

The company says the reassessment of fire safety and electrical safety audits is under way and it is taking the steps needed to complete them and submit the reports to the authorities as soon as possible, to restore the registration.
