Tata Communications’ September-quarter profit rises to ₹336 crore on 10% higher income

Tata Communications Limited has reported unaudited consolidated results for the quarter and half year ended 30 Sep 2026. Total income for the quarter was ₹6,704.30 crore, up about 10.2% from ₹6,082.51 crore in the same quarter a year earlier and from ₹6,595.76 crore in the June 2026 quarter.
Profit for the quarter was ₹335.61 crore, against ₹183.21 crore a year earlier and ₹129.72 crore in the June quarter, and profit attributable to equity holders of the parent was ₹341.03 crore. Profit before tax and share in the profit of associates was ₹462.90 crore against ₹254.64 crore a year earlier. For the half year, profit was ₹465.33 crore.
Income from operations was ₹6,687.89 crore for the quarter. Network and transmission expenses were ₹3,181.47 crore and employee costs ₹1,178.75 crore. The statement shows an exceptional item of ₹36.54 crore for the quarter.
Inference
Income grew about 10% from a year earlier, but profit rose much faster, which means costs grew more slowly than income. The September quarter profit was also well above the June quarter's ₹129.72 crore.
