    What the Appellate Authority found

The Appellate Authority allowed the Company's appeal against the Order-in-Original of 10 Dec 2025, which had been passed by the Assistant Commissioner, CGST, Division-VI, Ghaziabad. It observed that the Department had failed to establish fraud, wilful misstatement or suppression of facts with intent to evade tax, as required under Section 74 of the CGST Act, 2017.

It further held that the proceedings were barred by limitation under Section 73 of the CGST Act, 2017. On that basis the appeal was allowed, giving relief against the tax demand, the equivalent penalty and consequential interest.

    Background to the proceedings

The case began with a Show Cause Notice dated 30 Jun 2025, issued after a DGARM Report dated 18 Jul 2022. The notice alleged discrepancies in Input Tax Credit claimed in Form GSTR-3B against Form GSTR-2A, and discrepancies in Form GSTR-9, for the financial years 2018-19 to 2020-21.

The company had already disclosed these proceedings in its Prospectus dated 12 Aug 2026, under the section on outstanding litigation. The company deposited ₹17.19 lakh as mandatory pre-deposit when it filed the appeal on 9 Mar 2026.

What the GST order means for Technocraft Ventures' shareholders

The order removes the tax demand, equal penalty and consequential interest confirmed at the first stage, according to the filing. The filing does not state the financial impact on the company's results or cash position, whether the pre-deposit of ₹17.19 lakh will be refunded, whether the department may appeal further, or the amount of interest involved.

The filing sets no further dated step for the company.
