Consolidated net profit fell 68.2% YoY while total income rose 25.0%. The gap sits below the operating line: profit before tax fell 46.2% to ₹33.65 crore, and the consolidated statement shows an exceptional item of ₹44.98 crore, which the company describes as an additional impairment loss on its investment in Nueclear Healthcare Limited after a latest valuation report.
Revenue from operations rose 25.1%, faster than other income, which rose 19.0%. Other income of ₹3.63 crore is 1.3% of total income. Tax expense of ₹18.43 crore is 54.8% of profit before tax, so the tax charge is larger than the pre-tax profit's share would suggest, and the statement does not give a reason for the tax rate.
Finance costs rose to ₹1.57 crore from ₹0.59 crore a year earlier, and depreciation rose 17.5% to ₹13.52 crore. Finance costs are 0.6% of total income. The filing does not explain the rise in either line.
