Urban Company’s September-quarter loss widens to ₹182 crore as revenue rises 41%

Urban Company Limited has told the exchanges that it released its unaudited consolidated results for the quarter and half year ended 30 Sep 2026 on 16 Oct 2026. Revenue from operations for the September quarter rose 41% to ₹537.29 crore from ₹380.03 crore a year earlier, while the net loss widened to ₹182.48 crore from ₹59.33 crore.
Revenue from operations was 1.7% above the ₹528.34 crore of the June 2026 quarter. Total income, including other income of ₹41.16 crore, was ₹578.45 crore, against ₹412.66 crore a year earlier. The net loss compares with a loss of ₹92.12 crore in the June quarter, and the loss per share was ₹1.20, against ₹0.40 a year earlier.
Total expenses rose to ₹745.67 crore from ₹461.73 crore. Employee benefits expense was ₹181.92 crore, against ₹113.75 crore, and depreciation and amortisation expense was ₹17.46 crore, against ₹10.41 crore. Other expenses were ₹431.29 crore, against ₹236.47 crore.
For the half year, revenue from operations was ₹1,065.63 crore against ₹747.30 crore a year earlier, and the net loss was ₹274.60 crore against ₹52.39 crore.

Expenses grew faster than revenue, which is why the loss was larger than a year earlier even though revenue was about 41% higher. The filing shows the largest increases in employee benefits and other expenses.
The loss for the September quarter was larger than the June quarter’s loss, while revenue was only slightly higher. The filing does not give a reason for the increase in expenses, and the notes to the results are where shareholders can look for it.
