Inference
The company's press release says it achieved a net-cash position, compared with net debt of ₹775 crore in March 2026, and that restoration of the Vapi operations is progressing, with full restoration expected during the course of the year. The notes say a share buy-back of 14,400,000 shares at ₹175 a share was settled on 11 Jun 2026, with ₹250.56 crore of premium and ₹2.50 crore of expenses adjusted against retained earnings.
In the quarter the company paid a final dividend of ₹9.41 crore. It completed the transfer of a 51% stake in Welspun Captive Power Generation Limited for ₹67.65 crore on 31 Jul 2026, recording a gain of ₹3.99 crore in the consolidated results and ₹30.77 crore in the standalone results. The statutory auditors' limited review report on both statements says nothing has come to their attention that causes them to believe the statements contain a material misstatement.
The filing leaves two things open: the amount and timing of the final insurance settlement for the Vapi flood, including loss of profit, and the amount of the remaining US tariff refunds.
