Consolidated income grew faster than profit. Total income rose 22.0% to ₹980 crore, with revenue from operations up 23.9% to ₹969 crore, while other income fell 47.6% to ₹11 crore. Net profit fell 11.0% to ₹73 crore, and profit before tax fell 19.8% to ₹73 crore against ₹91 crore a year earlier.

Other income is a smaller share of the quarter than a year ago. It is 1.1% of total income this quarter, and 15.1% of profit before tax of ₹73 crore. Finance costs of ₹56 crore are 5.7% of total income, against ₹55 crore a year earlier on a larger base of income.

The tax line is nil this quarter, against ₹9 crore in both the year-ago and previous quarters. The statement shows a tax expense of zero for the quarter, so profit before tax and net profit are the same at ₹73 crore. The reason for the nil charge is not given in the filing.

Attributable to equity shareholders, net profit was ₹79 crore, while non-controlling interest was a loss of ₹6 crore. The six-month consolidated figures carry a year-earlier exceptional charge of ₹97 crore for deconsolidation, including impairment of investment and receivables, which makes the six-month comparison with the base period less direct.

Standalone profit grew much faster than the consolidated figure. Total income rose 46.6% to ₹601 crore and revenue from operations rose 52.6% to ₹580 crore, while other income fell 30.0% to ₹21 crore. Net profit rose 85.2% to ₹100 crore from ₹54 crore, in line with profit before tax, which rose by the same percentage.

Standalone other income is 3.5% of total income and 21.0% of profit before tax this quarter. Finance costs of ₹48 crore are 8.0% of total income, up 9.1% from ₹44 crore a year earlier.

The standalone statement shows a tax expense of nil in every period presented, so profit before tax and net profit match in each column. The filing does not give a reason for this.

Standalone depreciation rose 4.4% to ₹47 crore, and the company's standalone net profit fell 6.5% from the previous quarter's ₹107 crore while total income rose 1.2%.

The filing says the Board approved both sets of results on 2 Nov 2026 after a review by the Audit Committee, and that the statutory auditors, MSKC & Associates LLP, carried out a limited review. For the consolidated results, the auditors did not review the interim financial information of 5 subsidiaries, whose revenues of ₹836 crore for the quarter are before consolidation adjustment, and relied on other auditors' reports. Interim information of 18 further subsidiaries was not reviewed by their auditors, which management says is not material to the Group.

The filing does not say whether any dividend has been declared, and it does not explain the nil tax expense in either set of results. The company is exclusively in the pharmaceutical business segment.

    Inference

The filing says the Board approved both sets of results on 2 Nov 2026 after a review by the Audit Committee, and that the statutory auditors, MSKC & Associates LLP, carried out a limited review. The auditors did not review the interim financial information of 5 subsidiaries in the consolidated results and relied on other auditors' reports; the 18 subsidiaries not reviewed by their auditors are, in management's view, not material to the Group.

The filing does not say whether any dividend has been declared, and it does not give a reason for the nil tax expense in either set of results.
