Net profit grew faster than total income in the year-on-year comparison: profit rose 57.5% to ₹49.40 crore while total income rose 44.5% to ₹291.66 crore. Profit before tax rose 47.4%, so the gap between net profit and pre-tax profit widened as tax expense rose 25.1% to ₹17.92 crore.

Other income of ₹17.67 crore is 6.1% of total income and 26.2% of profit before tax of ₹67.32 crore. Other income rose 94.2% year on year, while revenue from operations rose 42.1% to ₹274.00 crore. Tax expense of ₹17.92 crore is 26.6% of profit before tax.

Finance costs were ₹1.19 crore, against ₹0.08 crore a year earlier and ₹1.55 crore in the previous quarter; they are 0.4% of total income. Depreciation rose to ₹5.12 crore from ₹1.66 crore a year earlier. Exceptional items for the quarter are nil, according to the filing.

Against the previous quarter, total income fell 19.8% and net profit fell 33.2%, with other income down 53.0%. The company's press release describes the quarter as its highest-ever Q2 on revenue and profit, and says half-year revenue rose 49.8% to ₹655.32 crore.

The statutory auditors carried out a limited review and reported that one subsidiary's interim financial information was not reviewed by its auditors; the conclusion is not modified in respect of this matter. The consolidated statement includes Goldiam Jewellery Limited, Goldiam USA Inc., Diagold Designs LLP and Eco-Friendly Diamond LLP.

    Inference

The company says lab-grown diamond jewellery exports made up 91.2% of export sales mix in Q2 FY27, against 90% in Q2 FY26, and online revenue was 19.4% of revenue. The order book stood at about ₹225 crore and cash and cash equivalents including investments at ₹457.83 crore as on 30 Sep 2026.

The board declared a 1st interim dividend of ₹2 per share, amounting to ₹30.11 crore, with a record date of 13 Nov 2026 and payment starting 25 Nov 2026. The dividend will be paid after tax is deducted at source; the filing does not give the TDS rate, which is still to be determined.

The filing does not say why finance costs rose from ₹0.08 crore to ₹1.19 crore or why cost of materials and inventories moved as they did in the quarter, and the effect of these on future quarters is not known.
